As May rolled into June, big things happened on the tournament floor at the Lodge Card Club.
The June 2 edition of the Sunday $15K produced the largest field and prize pool in that tournament’s history.
The special $25K Guaranteed Ladies Tournament also played out on June 2, with the prize pool going well over the $30K mark.
Let’s take a look at some of the big winners from May 27-June 2:
Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (June 2)
The June 2 edition of the Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack saw the biggest field and prize pool in the history of the Lodge’s flagship weekly tournament.
A total of 167 entries created a $34,068 prize pool, more than double the guarantee.
Lodge tournament legend Terry Morales took down the first-place prize of $9,379.
Other top finishers included Aaron Fick (2nd – $6,532), Nathan Peel (3rd – $4,088), Cameron Mixson (4th – $2,896) and Thomas Dujmovich (5th – $2,044).
$25K Guaranteed Ladies Tournament (June 2)
The first-ever $25K Guaranteed Ladies Tournament saw 133 players compete for $32,984.
Quinn Slatman (1st – $9,243) topped the field for the win and the first-place prize. Pavli Kumar (2nd – $6,210) finished runner-up.
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (May 27)
The Monday $2K Bounty event drew 87 players, and played to a three-way ICM deal.
Jennifer Jones (1st – $1,242), Daniel Saczyk (2nd – $910) and Lorraine Widener (3rd – $760) took the top three payout spots.
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (May 27)
The Monday Big-O drew 87 runners, and ended with a heads-up ICM deal.
Andrew Thomas (1st – $1,894) and Khaled Haggad (2nd – $1,600) took down the top two spots on the payout ladder, followed by David Solomon (3rd – $931).
Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (May 29)
The Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout drew 40 players, and ended with a four-way ICM deal.
Kenneth McGuire (1st – $875), Archie Gregory (2nd – $846), Richard Smart (3rd – $721) and Timothy Heher (4th – $498) finished in the top four.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Texas Freeroll (May 29)
The Wednesday Texas PLO Freeroll played to a heads-up ICM deal.
Christopher Bess (1st – $2,835) went home with the first-place prize money.
Other top finishers included Nick Gagne (2nd – $1,850), and Elizabeth Molina (3rd – $969).
Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH (May 30)
The Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH drew 45 runners, and finished with an outright winner.
Terry Morales (1st – $1,454) came away with the first of two wins at the Lodge this week. Scott Rowe (2nd – $855) finished runner-up.
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (May 30)
The Thursday Dirty Thirty Texas Freeroll drew 110 players for a $13,620 prize pool. The tournament played to a four-way ICM chop.
Ellis Griffin (1st – $4,000) took the lion’s share of the prize money and the first-place finish.
Paul Anstey, Timothy Kiernicki, and Bryan McSween each took home $1,900 per the terms of the deal.
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (May 31)
Friday’s $4K Guaranteed Freezeout drew 119 players, and played to a three-way ICM chop.
Jake Katzmarek (1st – $2,603) topped the field for the win. Charles Love (2nd – $2,248) and Sonny Ryan (3rd – $1,904) also finished in the top three.
Saturday Deep Stack NLH (June 1)
The Saturday Deep Stack drew 127 players, and played to a six-way ICM deal.
The top six included Canaan Linder (1st – $1,717), M. Ratawal (2nd – $1,665), Christopher Bess (3rd – $1,535), Tung Tran (4th – $1,209), Joe Williams (5th – $1,140) and Kamran Dargahi (6th – $568).
Austin Ladies Event (June 1)
The monthly Austin Ladies Event returned to the Lodge on June 1.
The top finishers included Salima Dhanani (1st – $1,591), Jo Macaluso (2nd – $1,442) and Sharon Barth (3rd – $1,354).
Sunday $100 Buy-In Freezeout (June 2)
The Sunday Freezeout drew 59 runners, and ended with a three-way ICM chop.
The top finishers included Timothy Heher (1st – $1,254), John Ramos (2nd – $1,115) and Joe Bowser (3rd – $920).
