Who Won At The Lodge from Jan. 2-8?

The first full week of tournament action at the Lodge in 2023 saw a few new tournaments appear on the schedule.

 

Jonathan Dietrich ($20K Quarterly Bounty) and Zach Barger (Sunday $15K Freezeout) were the biggest winners of the week, with both taking wins in five-figure guaranteed tournaments.

 

Here’s a look at the biggest winners from the Lodge for Jan. 2-8, 2023:

 

$20K Guaranteed Quarterly Mystery Bounty (Jan. 7)

The first of four Mystery Bounty events on the Lodge’s 2023 schedule drew 208 players, with the prize pool reaching $22,464.

 

Jonathan Dietrich (1st – $5,140) and Ted Gomez (2nd – $4,947) agreed to a heads-up chop to end the tournament, with Dietrich winning the final race to claim the trophy.

 

Other top finishers included Andrew Unnasch (3rd – $2,583), Stephen Dees (4th – $1,730), and Kurt Seibel (5th – $1,247).

$20K Guaranteed Quarterly Mystery Bounty (Jan. 7)

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Jan. 8)

Always one of the biggest events on the Lodge’s weekly schedule, the Jan. 8 verison of the $15K Sunday Freezeout saw 95 players put up the $250 buy-in, with the prize pool hitting $19,760.

 

Zach Barger took down the tournament outright, winning $4,636 in the process.

 

Other top finishers included Josh Beckenstein (2nd – $3,554), Vincente Anchondo (3rd – $2,781), Zachary Teilboom (4th – $2,395), and Daniel Ruz (5th – $2,086).

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Jan. 8)

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Jan. 2)

Kenneth Flippin took down the first Monday Big-O of 2023, topping a field of 92 runners for a $1,976 first prize.

 

The tournament saw the prize pool reach $6,586. Other top runners included Todd Tugmon (2nd – $1,225), Zachary Rawl (3rd – $863), Joel Salman (4th – $626), and Steven Alvarez (5th – $461).

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Jan. 8)

Wednesday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 4)

The final three players remaining in the Wednesday $2K Guaranteed Bounty agreed to an even chop. 

 

Michael Lehner, Bill Leon, and Matt Buchanan each took home $579 in the deal.

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (Jan. 4)

The Lodge ramped up the guarantee for the weekly Wednesday PLO Freeroll, which now comes with a $5,000 huaratee.

 

The Jan. 4 edition ended in a seven-way ICM deal. The big winners included Siddhartha Khodour (1st – $2,036), Mahesh Rathi (2nd – $1,963), Glaydon Osborn (3rd – $1,560), and Bernard Williams (4th – $1,235).

 

Rounding out the top seven were Cameron Mixson (5th – $803), Jeffrey Urbanvosky (6th – $784) and Samuel Creasy (7th – $639).

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (Jan. 4)

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 6)

Friday’s $2K Guaranteed Bounty drew 42 players, and ended in a three-way even chop.

 

David C., Dun Z., and Guido S. each took away a $565 cash prize as the top three finishers.

Austin Ladies Poker Tournament (Jan. 7)

Ruth Hall took down January’s Austin Ladies Poker Tournament, winning a 1,200 first-place prize. Darlina Lingo finished in second place, winning $900.

 

The tournament paid five places and awarded $3,100 in total prize money.

Sunday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 8)

Greg Leroy took the outright win in the Jan. 8 Sunday Bounty, and took home a $2,066 payday in the process. Michael Anthony finished runner up for $1,278.

 

The tournament drew 58 players and a $5,510 prize pool.

Sunday Survivor (Jan. 8)

The final five players in the Sunday Survivior each took home $1,411.

 

The list of winners included Julius Cantu, Jason Burruss, Cody Culp, Tung Tran, and James Romack.
