Who Won At The Lodge from April 17-23?

With the Lodge Championship Series set to play out at the Lodge, the week of April 17-23 presented the last full week of regularly-scheduled tournaments until mid-May.

Several events went over the five-figure mark in terms of total prize money, and several Lodge regulars and newcomers came away with sizable paydays.

Let’s take a look at the week that was at the Lodge:

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (April 18)

The Tuesday $15k Freeroll saw 166 players enter, and ended with three of the Lodge’s most prolific tournament players making an ICM deal.

Jeffrey Urbanovsky (1st – $5,000), Adam Garcia (2nd – $4,743) and Jonathan Dull ($4,743) took home nearly $15,000 among just the three of them. 

The tournament drew 166 players, with the prize pool reaching $24,680.

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (April 18)

$10K Guaranteed Black Chip Bounty (April 22)

The special $10K Guaranteed Black Chip Bounty event drew 115 players, and ended in a three-way ICM chop.

The top three included Nathan Peel (1st – $4,230), James Naughton (2nd – $3,602) and Bryan Obeso (3rd- $2,953).

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (April 23)

The biggest prize pool of the week came through the Sunday Singe Re-Entry Deep Stack. A total of 131 players came out, creating a $27,248 prize pool.

The tournament finished with a five-way ICM deal. The top five finishers included Thien Nguyen (1st – $4,823), Bryan Reisner (2nd – $4,493), Benjamin Riley (3rd – $4,154) Eric Tang (4th – $3,757) and Derrick Diaz (5th – $3,587).

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (April 23)

Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (April 17)

Monday’s $2K Guaranteed Bounty ended with a three-way ICM deal.

Freddy Murphy (1st – $900), Chester Williams (2nd – $659) and Walter Allan (3rd – $390) took the top three spots. 

The tournament drew 49 entries, with the prize pool reaching $3,648 (bounties included).

Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (April 18)

Tuesday’s $1,000 Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em event ended with the final two players agreeing to an even chop.

James Thompson and David Zalk each took home $933 per the terms of the deal.

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (April 19)

The Wednesday $5K Guaranteed Freeroll saw the final two players agree to an even chop.

Daniel Schochet and Cameron Daniel each went away with $2,434 per the terms of the heads-up deal.

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (April 20)

The Thursday “Dirty Thirty” ended with a first-time visitor to the Lodge coming away with one half of a heads-up chop to end the tournament.

Christopher Garcia and Steve Hwang agreed to an even chop, with each taking home $2,746. Other top finishers included Tony Elwood (3rd – $1,480) and Hao Wei Chang ($1,074).

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (April 20)

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (April 21)

The Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty drew 56 players, and ended with an outright winner.

Patty Arends (1st – $1,070) took down the outright win, while Steve Hwang (2nd – $663) took his second top-two finish of the week.Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (April 21)

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (April 21)

The Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout drew 99 players, and finished in a four-way ICM chop.

Radica Gordhandas (1st – $2,091), Joseph Wahlen (2nd – $1,919), Tung Tran (3rd – $1,414) and Eric Brown (4th – $1,132) took the top four spots on the payout ladder.

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (April 21)

Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (April 22)

Neal Pollack took the outright win in the Saturday $4,000 Guaranteed Bounty, taking home $1,814 in the victory.

Pollack outdueled James Alexander Remitto (2nd – $1,123) in heads-up play.
