Who Won At The Lodge Holiday Classic Dec. 8-18?

The Lodge finished out a historic 2022 with the Holiday Classic Series, which guaranteed more than $650,000 in prize money.

 

The $500K Monthly Monster headlined the series, with Afshin Fathabadi coming out as the biggest winner with a $56,535 payday.

 

Fathabadi was one of several Lodge players that took home impressive paydays during the series, which ran Dec. 8-18:

 

$500K Guaranteed Monthly Monster (Dec. 14-18)

The December Monthly Monster offered the largest guarantee ($500,000) on the Holiday Classic schedule. The actual prize money ended up at $538,423, as 1,058 players came out to compete.

 

The final nine players agreed to an ICM deal, and that list of winners includes Afshin Fathabadi (1st – $56,535), Thien Nguyen (2nd – $41,381), Safeen Merchant (3rd – $39,125), and Kamoru Yusuf (5th – $33,061).

 

Rounding out the final nine were Sid Naeimi (6th – $27,677), Nicholas Toralba (7th – $27,159), Falco Fadakar (8th – $26,365) and Jason Emmons (9th – $17,679).

 

Emmons and Nguyen battled in a heads-up flip for the trophy, which Emmons won.

$500K Guaranteed Monthly Monster (Dec. 14-18)

$150K Guaranteed Mini Monster (Dec. 8-11)

The $150K Mini Monster drew a whopping 1,845 entries, creating a final prize pool of $221,386. 

 

From that field, Anthony Caviness (1st – $14,885) and Jake Stein (3rd – $13,662), Daniel Pineda (2nd – $9,837) and Vu Nguyen (4th – $8,632) came out as the big winners.

 

Caviness went home with the tournament trophy and the winner’s photo.

$150K Guaranteed Mini Monster (Dec. 8-11)

$5K Guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha (Dec. 11)

The $5,000 Guaranteed PLO event saw the final three players agree to an ICM deal.

 

Sergio Pineda (1st – $3,787), Maxwell Vandever (2nd – $3,786) and Terry Morris (3rd – $2,041) were the three big winners, with Morris taking down the tournament championship trophy. 

$5K Guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha (Dec. 11)

$2K Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em (Dec. 11)

A total of 49 players came out for the $2K NLH event, with the prize pool going nearly double the guarantee at $3,724.

 

The final four players agreed to an ICM chop, with that list including Naveen Basavarajappa (1st – $1,106), Mario Delgado (2nd – $898), Brian McConnell (3rd – $733) and Lance Kitrell (4th – $646).

$2K Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em (Dec. 12)

Naveen Basavarajappa made it two straight nights of tournament victories on Dec. 12, coming out as the biggest winner in the Dec. 12 $2K NLH event.

 

Basavarajappa (1st – $900) and Juan Vela (2nd – $700) agreed to a heads-up chop to end the tournament. 

$2K Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em (Dec. 11)

$10K Guaranteed Green Chip Bounty (Dec. 13)

The $10K Holiday Bounty drew a total of $12,444 in prize money and bounties. A total of 76 players put forth the $200 buy-in to compete in Tuesday night knockout action.

 

The event ended in a four-way chop, with Jonathon Good (1st – $2,064), Zakariah Kemp (2nd – $1,932), Jessica Phillips (3rd – $1,382) and Lesley Begrer (4th – $1,275) taking down the final places on the money ladder. 

$10K Guaranteed Green Chip Bounty (Dec. 13)

$5K Guaranteed Holiday Series Closer (Dec. 18)

Zachary Rawl (1st – $2,077) topped the field in the $5K Holiday Closer, with Kalyan Amara (2nd – $1,286) finishing runner-up.

 

Carl McGowan (3rd – $906) and Frank Ibarra (4th – $657) rounded out the top four.

$5K Guaranteed Holiday Series Closer (Dec. 18)

Monthly Monster Tournament Of Champions (Dec. 19)

Jonathan Dull added another win to his impressive resume at the Lodge, taking down the Monthly Monster Tournament of Champions to end the Holiday Classic series.

 

Dull and Hector Hernandez agreed to a heads-up chop, with both taking home $10,500.
