With the Fall Mayhem Series wrapped up, the usual weekly tournament schedule resumed at the Lodge for the week of Sept. 18-24.
The monthly “Art of Poker” event sent its first-place finisher, Sean O’Brien, home with a five-figure payday.
Here’s a look at the week’s action from the tournament floor at the best poker club in all of Texas:
$40K Guaranteed “The Art of Poker” (September 23)
The monthly Art of Poker event drew 262 entries, creating a sizeable prize pool of $54,496.
The final four players agreed to an ICM deal. That list included Sean O’Brien, who took down the tournament trophy and an $11,387 payday.
Other top finishers included Kevin Sanders (2nd – $7,494), Sean Cavanaugh (3rd – $6,990), and Thuy Nguyen (4th – $6,614).
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (September 18)
Monday’s weekly $3,500 Guaranteed Big-O event drew 83 players, and ended in a five-way ICM deal.
The top five included Christopher Bess (1st – $1,311), Stephen Kennell (2nd – $1,173), Kenneth Rogers (3rd – $1,090), Daniel Marin (4th – $795) and Cameron Daniel (5th – $571).
Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (September 20)
The Wednesday Freezeout drew 46 players, and ended with a three-way ICM deal.
The trio of winners included Steven Ward (1st – $866), Jean Marsh (2nd – $801), and Jesse Scanlan (3rd – $481).
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Texas Freeroll (September 20)
Wednesday’s weekly Texas-style PLO Freeroll ended with two of the Lodge’s familiar faces agreeing to a heads-up chop.
Cameron Mixson and Clyde Johnson each took home $2,378 per the terms of the deal. Joe Garcia finished third for $1,201.
The tournament drew 65 players for an $8,400 prize pool.
Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH (September 21)
The Thursday $1,000 Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em event saw 60 players compete, and the final five agree to an ICM deal.
The top five included Ryan Reyes (1st – $773), Se Pak (2nd – $685), Walter Allan (3rd – $610), Robert Flowers (4th – $500) and Ruben Lozano (5th – $500).
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (September 22)
The weekly Friday Freezeout drew 105 entries, and ended in a five-way ICM deal.
The winner’s list included Selim Mahtab (1st – $2,038), Cuong Luu (2nd – $1,721), Corey Maggio (3rd – $1,574), Jeremy Klett (4th – $1,261), Jeanette Leon (5th – $1,124).
Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (September 23)
The Saturday night $4K Guaranteed Bounty drew 46 players, and ended with an outright winner.
Joshua Seiber topped the field for an $1,858 payday. Elan Lepovic finished runner-up for $1,092.
