Who Won At The Lodge from Oct. 3-9?

Tournament players at the Lodge enjoyed the usual schedule of tournaments, including a pair of $15K guarantees that run every week at the poker club in Round Rock.

 

The Oct. 3-9 tourney slate was also bolstered by the $30K Guaranteed “Big One,” which saw a pair of five-figure winners. Both Sandeep Vasudevan and Kamran Dargahi took home more than $10,000 after topping a field of 155 entries.

 

Here’s a look at what went down in the week’s mutli-table tournaments at the Lodge:

Saturday $30K Guaranteed “The Big One” (Oct. 8)

The Lodge indeed went “big” with the Saturday Big One re-entry event. The tournament generated $47,120 in prize money, as 155 entries registered.

 

The Big One created the biggest tournament at the Lodge this week, both in terms of prize money and number of entries.

 

The tournament ended in a heads-up chop, with Sandeep Vasudevan (1st – $11,822) taking down the tournament and the Big One championship trophy.

 

Other top finishers included Kamran Dargahi (2nd – $10,183), Blake Pierdies (3rd – $5,654), Jason Hickey (4th – $4,005), and Ahir Chatterjee (5th – $2,827)

Saturday $30K Guaranteed “The Big One” (Oct. 8)

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Oct. 4)

The Lodge’s biggest weekly freeroll exceeded the $15,000 guarantee, as per usual. The Tuesday tournament generated a $25,800 prize pool with 173 total entries.

 

The final five players agreed to an ICM chop. That list included Jordan Mandel (1st -$4,456), Kalyan Amara (2nd – $3,980), Roger Franco (3rd – $3,877), Kamran Dargahi (4th – $3,640), and Larry Freeman (5th – $2,933)

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Oct. 4)

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Freezeout (Oct. 9)

The third of three tournaments with a five-figure guarantee at the Lodge this week came in the form of the $15K Sunday Freezeout.

 

The tournament ended in a five-way ICM chop.

 

A total of 80 entries registered for the freezeout, creating a $16,640 prize pool.

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Freezeout (Oct. 9)

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Oct. 3)

Monday’s $3,500 guaranteed Big-O event ended in a final table deal agreed upon by the final three players.

 

That trio of winners included Raymond Barlowe (1st – $1,753), Robert Rough (2nd – $1,402) and Bradford Gibson (3rd – $1,178).

 

The Monday Big-O drew 92 entries, for a final prize pool of $7,186.

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Oct. 3)

 

Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 5)

Wednesday’s $1,000 guarantee freezeout drew 30 total entries, creating a $1,740 prize pool.

 

The final two players agreed to a heads-up chop, as Trevor Hudnall (1st – $750) and Paul Lewis (2nd – $562) took the lion’s share of the prize money.

Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 5)

Wednesday $4K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (October 5)

The Wednesday PLO Freeroll more than doubled the advertised guarantee, as 58 entries pushed the final prize pool to $8,840.

 

The four-card tournament produced an outright winner, and Katherine Mersiovsky took first-place honors for $3,241.

 

Other top finishers included Ronald Bloecher (2nd – $2,004), Robert Rough (3rd – $1,313), and Damien Judd (4th – $907).

Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 5)

Thursday $1K Guaranteed Over Stack (October 6)

Thursday marked another day of Lodge tournaments going well over the guarantee. Thursday’s “The Over Stack” event ended with 42 entries generating $2,436 in total prize money. 

 

The last three players standing agreed to a three-way deal to end the tournament. Juan Vela (1st – $729) and Ethan Brun (2nd – $729) split the money between the top two spots.

 

Benjamin Andrews (3rd – $563) rounded out the top three.

Wednesday $4K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (October 5)

Friday $2K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 7)

The first of two Friday Freezeout tourneys ended in a deal among the final trio of players remaining.

 

Kyle Prescaro (1st – $900), Michael Strait (2nd – $805),  and Howard Hammerbeck (3rd – $804) finished in the top three.

 

The tournament drew 38 entries, with $2,888 in prize money awarded.

Thursday $1K Guaranteed Over Stack (October 6)

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 7)

The second of the two Friday Freezout events saw 86 entries register, for total prize money of $8,084.

 

The event finished with a heads-up chop, as David B. (1st – $2,261) and Lee D. (2nd – $1,926) finished in the top two spots.

Sunday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (Oct. 9)

The final tournament of the week ended in a three-way ICM deal.

 

That trio of top finishers included Quincy Pence (1st – $1,030), John Lee (2nd – $763) and Paul Hernandez (3rd – $763).

 

The Sunday Freezeout saw 40 total entries, generating a $3,040 prize pool.
