Who Won At The Lodge from Oct. 24-30?

The final week of October brought the Monthly Monster back to the Lodge. The $500,000 guaranteed tournament ended up overlaying by more than $28,000, with eventual champion Arasb Rahmani taking home a nearly $100K payday.

 

The Monthly Monster joined the usual schedule of weekly events at the Lodge, and it was another busy week at the No. 1 poker club in the Lone Star State.

 

Let’s take a look at some of the big winners from the week of Oct. 24-30:

$500K Guaranteed Monthly Monster Oct. 26-30

The latest edition of the Lodge’s flagship Monthly Monster ended up with an overlay of $28,620. That added prize money gave the 916 entries in the tournament plenty of extra value to aim for in the multi-day event.

 

The tournament played to a finish, with Arasb Rahmani taking down the win for a $93,930 payday. Rahmani outlasted Caitlin Comeskey (2nd – $55,238) in the heads-up battle for the title.

 

Other top finishers included Victor Leone (3rd – $40,755), Phillip Pope (4th – $30,875), Chad Garyet (5th – $23,318), Henry Porcaro (6th – $17,784), Ian Rosi (7th – $13,832) and Sandeep Vasudevan (8th – $10,621).

$500K Guaranteed Monthly Monster Oct. 26-30

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Oct. 25)

The last eight players standing in the $15,000 guaranteed Tuesday freeroll agreed to an eight-way ICM deal. All eight went home with at least $1,370 as a result.

 

The top finishers included Kenneth Glaser (1st – $3,143), Greg Bevis (2nd – $2,886), Daniel Marin (3rd – $2,785), and Anthony Hester (4th – $2,239).

 

Rounding out the top eight were Daniel Mak (5th – $2,046), MC Tyer (6th – $1,732), Bradford Gibson (7th – $1,710) and Nick Sheldon (8th – $1,370).

 

The 160 entries and 1,074 rebuys pushed the final prize pool to $21,480 for the $30 buy-in tournament.

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Oct. 25)

Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Oct. 30)

Always one of the biggest events on the Lodge schedule, this week’s edition of the $15K guaranteed Sunday freezeout drew 93 players and a $19,344 prize pool.

 

The tournament ended in a three-way deal, which included Jingxiao Lu (1st – $4,739), James Spera (2nd – $3,986), and Ruth Hall ($3,211).

Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Oct. 24)

The latest week of tournament action at the Lodge kicked off with Monday’s $2,000 guaranteed bounty event. 

 

A total of 46 entries pushed the final prize pool past the guarantee to $2,371. The final three players remaining agreed to an ICM deal.

 

That trio of winners included Tung Tran (1st – $750), Frank Sill (2nd – $ 650) and Eric Brown (3rd – $568.

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Oct. 24)

Monday’s five-card Omaha event saw 88 entries register, creating a final prize pool of $6,354. 

 

The final eight players agreed to an equal chop, with each taking home $825. That list included Joshua Justharris, Amir Mahboubi-Tehrani, Robert Richards, Aaron Anders, Sandeep Vasudevan, Matthew Myers, and Robert Rough.

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Oct. 24)

Tuesday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (Oct. 25)

Tuesday’s Over Stack event ended in a five-way ICM deal.

 

Steve Ward (1st – $653), Justin Davis (2nd – $580), Philip White (3rd – $548), Dexter George (4th – $490), and Cookie Bamuel (5th – $480) were among the final five.

 

The tournament drew 53 entries for a $4,240 prize pool.

Tuesday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (Oct. 25)

Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 26)

The Wednesday freezeout saw 21 players compete for a final prize pool of $1,218.

 

Miranda Hernandez and Cookie Baumel agreed to an even heads-up chop at the end, with each player earning $400.

Thursday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (October 27)

The second of two Over Stack tournaments on the week’s schedule saw 38 entries register, creating a $2,204 prize pool.

 

The final three players standing agreed to an equal chop, awarding $632 to each. That trio of winners included Holly Armstrong, Patrick Sullivan, and Clif Kosterman.

Thursday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (October 27)

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty” Freeroll (October 27)

The Thursday Dirty Thirty Freeroll awarded $7,920 in total prize money, with the 83 entrants plus rebuys pushing the tournament past the guarantee.

 

The final six players agreed to an ICM deal at the final table. Those winners included Rahul Ramachandran (1st – $1,308), Jesse Scanlan (2nd – $1,290), Bruce Gilpatrick (3rd – $1,284), Frank Sill (4th – $1,101), Reddy Harshavadrhan (5th – $1,006) and MC Tyer (6th – $948).

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty” Freeroll (October 27)

Friday $2K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 28)

The first of a duo of Friday Freezeout events on Oct. 28 ended in an equal three-way chop at the final table. 

 

Laura Hoppe, Aaron Anders, and Steve Ward each came away with $671 in prize money. A total of 32 players came out for the tournament, creating a $2,434 prize pool.

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 28)

The second of two Friday Freezeouts ended in a four-way deal, with Judson Tigerman (1st – $2,452) taking home the lion’s share of the prize money.

 

Other top finishers included Riki Young, Clifton Ulen, and Jason Aguilar, each of which took home $1,073.

 

The $4,000 guaranteed tournament drew 78 runners, and the final prize pool nearly doubled the guarantee, finishing at $7,332.

Friday $2K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 28)

Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (October 29)

The Saturday $4,000 guaranteed bounty event played down to a champion, as Keith McCormack (1st – $2,031) topped the field for the win.

 

Other top finishers included Alejandro Nunez (2nd – $1,256) and Jeffrey Valentine (3rd – $823). 

 

The tournament saw 57 entries register.

Sunday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (Oct. 30)

The Sunday $1k Guaranteed Freezeout wrapped up the week’s schedule of regularly-running tournament at the Lodge.

 

The tournament ended in a three-way deal, with Jason Aguilar (1st – $727), Quincy Pence (2nd – $641) and Richard Lin (3rd – $584) finishing as the top three.
