Another week of tournament action at the Lodge saw several players take home big prize money.
The biggest prize pool of the week resulted in Saturday’s $40K Guaranteed “The Art of Poker” event, with tournament champion Christopher Bess earning more than $15,000 for the win.
Let’s take a look at some of the winners from Lodge tournament action for the week of Oct. 10-16:
Saturday $40K Guaranteed “The Art Of Poker” (Oct. 15)
The biggest tournament of the week on the Lodge calendar promised $40,000 in prize money, but the final prize pool went well beyond that. A total of 315 entries came out for Sunday’s Art of Poker event, and the tournament awarded $65,520 in prize money.
Christopher Bess (1st – $15,064) finished at the top of the payout ladder, and took his place in the winner’s photo.
Other top finishers included Aaron McEvoy (2nd – $9,828), Adric High (3rd – $6,749), Roger Franco (4th – $4,914) and Andrew Moss (5th – $3,604).
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Oct. 11)
Tuesday’s $15,000 guaranteed freeroll went well over the guarantee, as per usual. A total of 175 entries pushed the final prize money to $27,320.
The final 10 players agreed to an ICM chop. Most of those players stuck around for the winner’s photo, which you’ll find below.
Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Oct. 16)
The third of three tournaments offering five-figure guarantees took place Sunday afternoon. The $15K Guaranteed Freezeout drew 91 runners, creating a prize pool of $18,928.
The final five players agreed to an ICM deal, then played out the tournament to its finish. The top five included Josh Beckenstein (1st – $3,638), Terrance Sanders (2nd – $3,056), Juan Vela (3rd – $2,910), Beverly Lange (4th – $2,619), and John Emmons (5th – $2,330).
Monday $2K Guaranteed Big-O (Oct. 10)
Monday’s tournament action kicked off with the $2,000 guaranteed bounty event. A total of 66 entries registered, creating a $3,366 prize pool.
The final three players agreed to an equal chop, with Sean O’Farrell, Derrick Diaz, and Jason Aguilar each taking home $796.
Wednesday $4K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (October 12)
The last three players standing in the $4,000 guaranteed PLO freeroll agreed to an even chop.
Lang Anderson, Jason Quiroz, and Justus Glover each came away with $2,633, as well as a place in the winner’s photo.
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty” Freeroll (October 13)
A familiar face in the Lodge tournament pool took down Thursday’s “Dirty Thirty” freeroll.
Jonathan Dull added to his collection of big finishes at the Lodge, taking down the win for $4,040 in first-place prize money.
Other top finishers included Gustavo Garza (2nd – $2,505), Rahul Ramachandran (3rd – $1,765), and Robert Marks.
The freeroll dree 106 entries for a $13,470 prize pool, which nearly doubled the guarantee.
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (October 14)
A total of 65 entries came out for the Friday $4K Freezeout, creating a $6,110 prize pool.
The tournament ended in a seven-way ICM chop. The top three from that deal included Donavon Bragg (1st – $1,200), Michael Polishook (2nd – $1,025), and Michael Davis (3rd – $967).
Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (October 15)
The final bounty event of the week ended with the final four players agreeing to an ICM chop.
Don Isbell (1st – $1,366), Tung Tran (2nd – $1,310), Cameron Mixon (3rd – $1,230) and Kenneth Woodard (4th – $1,135) took down the top four places on the payout ladder.
The Saturday Bounty drew 67 entries, creating a $6,365 prize pool.
Sunday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (Oct. 16)
The weekend ended with the Sunday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout, which drew 35 players and yielded a $2,660 prize pool.
Spivey Conwill, Barry Chase, and Matthew Norkiewicz agreed to a three-way deal at the final table, with each player taking home $738.
