Another week of big tournaments and big winners commenced at Austin’s largest poker club from Nov. 14-20. Many guarantees were smashed, as per custom at the Lodge.
Here’s a look at some of the champions from the past week’s tournament action at the Lodge:
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Nov. 15)
The Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll saw 139 players come out, creating a prize pool of $19,760.
The final five players in the tournament agreed to an even chop. Those winners included Ruth Hall, Jonathan Dull, Richard Kypuros, Derrick Clinton, and Usman Khan.
Each of the final five took home $3,018.
Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Nov. 20)
Sunday’s big $15K Freezeout saw Victoria Luna and Marc Saenz agree to an even chop to end the tournament. Both players took home $4407 in the heads-up deal.
Other top finishers included Ryan Burr (3rd – $2,348), Robert Paape (4th – $1,718), and Steve Coonan (5th – $1,259).
The tournament drew 83 players, creating a prize pool of $17,264.
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Nov. 14)
Monday’s $2K Guaranteed Bounty kicked off the week’s tournament action at the Lodge.
The tournament paid five places, with Aaron Anders taking down the outright win for $974.
Tuesday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (Nov. 15)
The weekly Tuesday edition of “The Over Stack” saw 42 players register, creating a $2,436 prize pool.
The tournament ended in a three-way ICM deal. Among the winners in that deal were Anthony Owens (1st – $827), Sherri Frost (2nd – $582) and Michael Mayer (3rd – $546).
Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (Nov. 16)
The $1K Freezeout saw 23 runners come out to the Loge for some Wednesday afternoon poker action.
The tournament awarded $1,334 in total prize money. Jason Aguilar took down the tournament, earning $627 for the win.
Wednesday $4K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (Nov. 16)
The “Largest Omaha Freeroll in Central Texas” plays out every Wednesday evening at the Lodge. This week’s edition of the $4K Guaranteed PLO freeroll drew 60 entrants, with the prize money doubling the guarantee at $7,980.
Chris Chamberlain took down the win for a $2,936 payday. Other top finishers included Terry Morales (2nd – $1,817) and Samuel Craesy (3rd – $1,190).
Thursday $1K Guaranteed “The Over Stack” (November 17)
The second of two Over Stack events this week ended in a four-way ICM chop. The winners from that deal included Elias Fanous (1st – $735), Heath Norris (2nd – $600), Michael Lehner (3rd – $600) and Derek Boscamp (4th – $600).
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty” Freeroll (November 17)
The Thursday “Dirty Thirty” Freeroll always produces one of the biggest prize pools of the week, and the Nov. 17 edition was no exception.
A total of 94 players entered the tournament, with the prize money far exceeding the guarantee and finishing at $12,570.
The final five players agreed to an even chop, with each winning $1,966. That list of champions included Larry Bennett, Andrej Isjurow, Dennis Cardona, Michael Villalobos, and Roger Pettit.
Friday $2K Guaranteed Freezeout (Nov. 18)
The first of two Friday Freezouts saw 39 players come out, with a final prize pool of $2,964.
Jason P. took down the event, earning $1,347 in the process.
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (Nov. 18)
The evening edition of the Friday Freezeout saw 68 players enter the tournament, for a final prize pool of $6,392.
The tournament ended in a five-way ICM chop. The winners included James Naughton (1st – $1,419), Eric Brown (2nd – $1,153), Se Pak (3rd – $1,144), Richard Brown (4th – $985), and Jack Brossette (5th – $969).
Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (Nov. 19)
A total of 60 runners came out for Saturday’s $4K Guaranteed Bounty event, with the final prize pool reaching $5,700.
The final eight players agreed to an ICM deal. Among those players were Joshua Hogan (1st – $1,296), Reda Maher (2nd – $967), Cookie Bamuel (3rd – $794), and Jason Aguilar (4th – $664).
Rounding out the final eight were Joseph Wahlen (5th – $593), David Adams (6th – $498), Matthew Thirkettle (7th – $472) and Sarguruna Bala-Subramanan (8th – $416).
Sunday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (Nov. 20)
Reda Maher won the Sunday $1k Guaranteed Freezeout, taking home $1,064 for the tournament win.
The tournament drew 28 entries, creating a $2,128 prize pool.
