Who Won At The Lodge from May 8-21?

With the Lodge Championship Series wrapping up in the first week of May, the regular weekly tournament schedule is back in full force.

Plenty of big winners came away from Round Rock this week, highlighted by a pair of five-figure winners topping the payout ladder in the monthly “Art of Poker” event.

Here’s a look at tournament action from the Lodge May 8-21:

$40K Guaranteed“The Art of Poker” (May 20)

The monthly “Art of Poker” event returned to the Lodge for May, bringing with it a $40,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Elrian Beniayguev took down the tournament win, earning $16,574 in the process.

Other top finishers included Joseph Marrero (2nd – $10,617), Steven Winsell (3rd – $7,454), Mathhew McDowell (4th – $5,459), and Mo Poura (5th – $4,104).

$40K Guaranteed“The Art of Poker” (May 20)

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (May 16)

After a short hiatus due to the 2023 Lodge Championship Series, the Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll returned to the schedule. The May 16 edition saw 186 entries compete for a $24,300 prize pool. 

Adam Rothschild took down the tournament outright, earning the first-place payout of $6,659.

Other top finishes included Ryan Shaw (2nd – $4,252), Christian Cox (3rd – $2,794), Nelson Reynoso (4th – $1,871), and Linoy Mathen (5th – $1,349).

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (May 16)

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (May 21)

The Sunday $15K Deep Stack saw 123 players register, with the prize pool reaching $25,684.

The tournament ended in a five-way ICM deal. The top five included Mahesh Rathi (1st – $4,680), Alex Damico (2nd – $4,593), Walter Allan (3rd – $3,960), Hillel Miller (4th – $3,669) and Ronald Sax (5th – $2,716).

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (May 21)

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (May 11)

The Thursday Dirty Thirty drew 83 runners, and finished with an outright winner.

Matthew Garvey topped the field, and went home with the first-place payday of $3,323 for his efforts. Other top finishers included Eugene Maslov (2nd – $2,055), James Spera (3rd – $1,432) and Steve Roeder (4th – $1,048).

The prize pool reached $10,380 for this edition of the Dirty Thirty.

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (May 11)

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (May 12)

Friday’s weekly $2K Bounty event ended in a six-way ICM deal.

The winners’ list included Kiran Desai (1st – $515), Kevin Greenly (2nd – $436), Michael Eldridge (3rd – $372), Derwin Gavin (4th – $370), Glenn Beck (5th – $369) and William Rinehart (6th – $337).

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (May 12)

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (May 12)

The Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout ended with the final six players agreeing to an ICM deal.

The final six included Pedro Green (1st – $1,585), Michael Lyon (2nd – $1,422), Aaron Landon (3rd – $1,407), Sarah Cattan (4th – $1,180), Abraham Araya (5th – $1,125) and Jason Emmons (6th – $905).

The tournament drew 97 entries for a $9,118 prize pool.

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (May 12)

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (May 15)

Monday’s $3,500 Guaranteed Big-O event drew 116 players, with the prize pool ending up at $8,578.

The tournament ended in a four-way ICM deal. That winners’ list included Bradford Gibson (1st – $1,717), Robert Rough (2nd – $1,706), Earnest Jackson (3rd – $1,491), and Trinh Vu (4th – $1,195).

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (May 15)

Wednesday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (May 17)

The Wednesday Bounty guaranteed $2,000 in prize money, and the actual final prize pool included $2,584 in prize money plus bounties.

Charles Wood topped the field of 34 players for the win, earning $791. Eric Hope finished second for $443.

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (May 17)

The Wednesday $5,000 Guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha event drew 66 runners, creating a prize pool of $9,300.

The event ended in a six-way ICM deal, with winners including William Gross (1st – $2,023), Buo Zhang (2nd – $1,796), Tobias Grace (3rd – $1,389), M. Akula ($1,217), R. Negrete (5th – $1,162), and Terry Morris (6th – $1,040).

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (May 17)

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (May 18)

The May 18 edition of the Thursday Dirty Thirty saw an even 100 players register for the event. That field created a $12,510 prize pool.

Sean O’Brien took down the tournament outright, winning the $3,721 first-place prize. 

Other top finishers included Pedro Reyna (2nd – $2,308), Linoy Mathen (3rd – $1,626), and Raymond Barlowe (4th – $1,179).

Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (May 18)

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (May 19)

The May 19 Friday Freezeout finished with a four-way ICM chop.

The final four included Nicolas Morales (1st – $1,920), Dominic Costanzo (2nd – $1,905), Edward Zihlman (3rd – $1,905) and John Mintz (4th – $1,432).

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (May 19)

The May 19 Friday Bounty drew 45 entries, with $2,295 in the prize pool and $1,125 in bounties.

The event ended in a five-way ICM deal. The winners’ list included Curt Woodyard (1st – $667), Arturo Lopez (2nd – $457), Lilian Blinn (3rd – $456), James Worley (4th – $338), and Stephen Vickrey (5th – $277).
