The week of March 13-19 saw plenty of big prize pools at the Lodge.
The “Art of Poker” event awarded more than $63,000 in prize money, with the top two finishers chopping for more than $12K each.
Let’s take a look at the week that was in tournament action in Round Rock, TX:
$40K Guaranteed “The Art Of Poker” (March 18)
The $40,000 Art of Poker special event offered the biggest guarantee of the week. The final prize money far surpassed the $40K mark, with 306 players contributing to a $63,648 prize pool.
Shawn Warkeza and Patrick Good agreed to a heads-up chop to end the tournament, with each taking home $12,091.
Other top finishers included Dennis Brand (3rd – $6,556), Kamran Dargahi (4th – $4,774), and Adam Flores (5th – $3,501).
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (March 14)
The Tuesday $15K Freeroll finished with a four-way ICM chop.
The top four included Lisa Graviel (1st – $5,603), Rupinder Cheema (2nd – $3,575), Hakim Tirta (3rd – $3,528) and Aaron Klepper (4th – $3,438).
The tournament drew 175 players for a $24,020 prize pool.
Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (March 19)
The Sunday $15,000 Guaranteed Freezeout drew 79 entries, and that field competed for $16,432 in prize money.
The final four included Stephen Coonan (1st – $4,388), Jesse Molina (2nd – $3,707), Richard Epstein (3rd – $2,535), and Benjamin Andrews ($2,286).
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (March 13)
The Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty finished with an outright winner.
Michael Hoffman topped the field and claimed the full $976 first-place prize. Christopher Hosack finished second for $574.
Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (March 14)
The Tuesday $1K NLH event saw a four-way even chop to end the tournament.
Larry Freeman, Mohammad Islam, Richard Walker, and Dexter George each took home $583 per the terms of the deal.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (March 15)
Wednesday’s PLO Freeroll saw the prize pool go well past the $5,000 guarantee, finishing at $7,340.
The seven in-the-money finishers agreed to an ICM deal to end the tournament. That list of winners included Jacob Arredondo (1st – $1,460), Dennis McAdams (2nd – $1,270), James Fox (3rd – $1,080), and Anthony Rodriguez (4th – $1,000).
Rounding out the top seven were Eric Chavez (5th – $934), Hakim Tirta (6th – $841) and Robert Rough (7th – $742).
Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (March 17)
A total of 40 players entered the Friday $4K Bounty, with the final three agreeing to an ICM deal.
Nathan Herron (1st – $660), Hakim Tirta (2nd – $603) and Alejandro Buenrostro (3rd – $483) took the top three spots.
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (March 17)
The Friday $4K Freezeout saw the top three finishers go home with at least $1,100 in prize money.
Jamie Paul (1st – $2,577) topped the field of 94 entries for the win. Other top finishers included Jean Marsh (2nd – $1,599) and Joseph Wahlen (3rd – $1,126).
Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (March 18)
Saturday’s $4,000 Guaranteed Bounty tournament saw 57 players enter, with the prize pool hitting $5,415.
The event ended with a four-way ICM chop. The final four included Neil Cavendish (1st – $1,600), Julie Tumlinson (2nd – $1,362), William Godeaux (3rd – $854) and Judith Coover (4th – $733).
Sunday Big Bet Bounty NLH/PLO (March 19)
One of the newest events on the Lodge’s weekly schedule ended with a familiar face taking down the tournament outright.
Ruth Hall finished first in the Sunday NLH/PLO mixed Big Bet Bounty for a $1,589 payday.
Other top finishers included Collin McGee (2nd – $981) and Alan Tran (3rd – $649).
