The first week of August brought another week of big tournament action to the best poker club in Texas.
The $1 Million Guaranteed Mega Monster kicked off on August 3, and that huge event will take center stage in the Lodge tournament area for the next couple of weeks.
The Lodge’s weekly tourneys will roll on, however, as they did for the week of July 31 through August 6:
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (August 2)
The Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll usually brings one of the biggest prize pools of any weekly Lodge tournament.
The August 2 edition was no exception, with 182 players registering, and the top six spots all paying four-figure prizes.
The top six included Dennis Brand (1st – $5,589), Cameron Mixson (2nd – $4,948), Matt Dang (3rd – $3,712) and Pavankumar Koppula (4th – $1,945).
Rounding out the top six were Christopher Steele (5th – $1,402) and Albert Taylor (6th – $1,074).
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (July 31)
Monday’s weekly Big-O event paid nine spots, with the final three players agreeing to an ICM deal.
That trio of winners included Hakim Tirta (1st – $1,601), Andre Robinson (2nd – $1,146) and S. Perryman (3rd – $1,134).
Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (August 1)
The Tuesday $1,000 Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em event drew 39 players and the prize pool reached $2,262.
The final four players agreed to an ICM deal, which included Phillip Lindsey (1st – $633), Roger Pettit (2nd – $571), Clyde Johnson (3rd – $486) and Lesley Berger (4th – $472).
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (August 2)
The Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll is always one of the most popular events on the Lodge’s weekly tournament schedule.
The August 2 edition drew 69 runners, with the prize pool reaching $9,440. The tournament finished with an eight-player ICM deal.
The top three of those finishers included Alexander Baldwin (1st – $2,036), Joe Garcia ($1,610), and Julia Borrego (3rd – $1,428).
Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH (August 3)
The second of two weekly $1K Guaranteed NLH events saw 29 players compete for a $1,682 prize pool.
Jeffrey Hood scored the outright win, taking home an $841 payday. Elias Fanous (2nd – $505) and Trung Le (3rd – $336) rounded out the top three.
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (August 3)
The Thursday “Dirty Thirty” Freeroll finished with the final three players agreeing to an ICM deal.
That list of winners included Garret Schmitt (1st – $2,032), Jamal Smith ($1,716), and Jeffrey Hood (3rd – $1,566),
