The highly-anticipated Mini Monster tournament arrived at the Lodge this week, taking center stage on the tournament floor. That multi-flight “monster” of a tournament wraps up on January 22.
Plenty of big winners came from the normal weekly tournament slate at the Lodge in the week from Jan. 8-14; let’s take a look:
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (January 9)
The Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll saw 139 players compete for $21,020 in prize money. The final four players agreed to an ICM deal.
The top finishers included Jason Burruss (1st – $4,466), James Osburn (2nd – $3,751), G. Valencia (3rd – $3,331), and Kenneth Glaser (4th – $3,015).
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (January 8)
The Monday Bounty event drew 36 players, and ended with a heads-up chop between the Dargahi brothers!
The top two finishers included Pejman Darhai (1st – $555) and Kamran Dargahi (2nd – $506).
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (January 8)
The Monday Big-O drew 98 runners for a $7,484 prize pool, and played to a six-way ICM chop.
Lodge GM Joseph Strazzera took down the first-place prize of $1,206!
Other top finishers included Kenneth Hoot (2nd – $1,160), Casey Robbins (3rd – $1,057), and Terry Harman (4th – $1,042).
Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (January 9)
The Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH event played to a heads-up ICM chop.
Bryan Thym (1st – $793) and Walter Allan (2nd – $702) took down the top two money spots.
Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (January 10)
The Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout drew 33 players and played to a four way ICM chop.
William Thomas (1st – $620), Kurt Seibel (2nd – $463, Calvin Payne (3rd – $367) and Bryan Thym (4th – $364 finished in the top four.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Texas Freeroll (January 10)
The Wednesday Texas PLO Freeroll ended in a nine-way even chop! All nine players took home $923.
The winners included Amir Mahboubi-Tehrani, Casey Robbins, Willehado Valdez, Jonathan Good, Mahesh Rathi, and Lennon Green.
Rounding out the final nine were Ravi Kumar Nagabhyru, Brandon Pausa, and Bradford Gibson.
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (January 11)
The Thursday Dirty Thirty Texas Freeroll played to a five-way ICM deal.
Daniel Marin (1st – $1,510), Arasb Rahmani (2nd – $1,274), John Lee (3rd – $1,263), Matthew Fabrizio (4th – $1,182), and Benjamin Cook (5th – $1,003) finished in the top five spots.
