The weekly tournament schedule at the Lodge saw the addition of the biggest guaranteed prize pool tournament on the January schedule.
The Winter $100K Guarantee went far beyond the advertised guarantee, with more than $235,000 awarded. Tournament champion John Skrovan went home with a $37,821 payday, while all of the top five finishers pocketed five-figure sums.
Let’s take a look at the big winners from Jan. 23-39 at the Lodge:
The Winter $100K Guaranteed (Jan. 27-29)
The Lodge’s Winter $100K Guaranteed offered the biggest prize pool of any event on the January schedule.
A whopping 939 entries pushed the final prize pool to more than double the guarantee, with $235,109 awarded. The final five players each went home with five-figure payouts.
John Skrovan (1st – $37,821) and Flavio Palalon (2nd – $33,000) agreed to a heads-up chop, with Skrovan winning the heads-up duel for the final slice of the prize money and the tournament trophy.
Other top finishers included G. Visagie (3rd – $19,516), Matthew McDowell (4th – $14,719) and Eric Tang (5th – $11,051).
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Jan. 24)
The Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll ended with a six-way ICM deal.
The winners included Matthew Garvey (1st – $4,962), Michael Fizseri (2nd – $3,071), Maxwell Vandever (3rd – $2,914), Derrick Clinton (4th – $2,397), Jonathan Good (5th – $2,370) and C. Hornbostel (6th – $1,317).
Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Jan. 29)
The last two players standing in the Sunday $15K Freezeout agreed to an even chop.
Kristin Brotherton and Leslie Urbanovsky each took home $4,701 in the deal. Other top finishers included Galen Wood (3rd – $2,534), Victoria Luna (4th – $1,838) and Steven Stogel (5th – $1,354).
The tournament drew 93 players, creating a $19,344 prize pool.
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 23)
Monday’s $2,000 Guaranteed Bounty tournament ended in a four-way ICM deal.
That list of winners included Arturo Lopez (1st – $589), James Worley (2nd – $488), Michael Eldridge (3rd – $382) and Chester Williams (4th – $381).
Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (Jan. 24)
The Tuesday $1K NLH played out to a finish, with Michael Lehner taking the outright win for an $1,114 payday. Leigh Ann Woodward finished second for $690.
The tournament saw 54 players enter, creating a $3,132 prize pool.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (Jan. 25)
The Wednesday Pot-Limit Omaha Freeroll went far beyond the $5,000 guarantee, as per usual. A total of 66 entries created a $9,520 prize pool.
The final six playera agreed to an ICM deal. That list included Antonio Aker (1st – $1,828), Alex Damico (2nd – $1,638), Matthew Bray (3rd – $1,528), Chase Watkins (4th – $1,450), Ryan Schroeder (5th – $1,360) and Anthony Martino (6th – $1,221).
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (Jan. 26)
Thursday’s Dirty Thirty Freeroll ended in a four-way ICM deal.
The list of winners included William Cox (1st – $2,387), Matthew Bray (2nd – $2,341), Dylan Farley (3rd – $2,249), and Daniel Marin (4th – $2,017).
The tournament drew 112 players and awarded $12,630 in total prize money.
