The latest week of poker tournament action at the Lodge saw the $40K Art of Poker headline the schedule.
That tournament drew more than 300 players, with eventual winner Steven Hysick cashing in for a $15,454 first-place prize.
Hysick wasn’t the only big winner from the week of Jan. 16-22 at the Lodge:
$40K Guaranteed “The Art Of Poker” (Jan. 21)
The biggest guaranteed prize pool at the Lodge this week was offered in the Jan. 21 Art of Poker event. A total of 324 players came out for the tournament, with the prize pool reaching $67,184.
Steven Hysick won the tournament outright, collecting a $15,454 payday.
Other top finishers included Matthew Rice (2nd – $10,078), Thomas McGaffigan (3rd – $6,920), Jennifer Kraber (4th – $5,039) and Gordon Makely (5th – $3,965).
Sunday $15K Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout (Jan. 22)
The Sunday $15,000 Guaranteed Deep Stack Freezeout drew 80 players with the $250 buy-in from each generating a $16,640 prize pool.
The tournament ended in a five-way ICM chop. The list of winners included Wesad Al (1st – $3,660), Eric Brown (2nd – $3,157), Mao Chi Sun (3rd – $2,435), Donavon Bragg (4th – $2,400), and Michael James (5th – $2,367).
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (Jan. 17)
Tuesday’s $15K Freeroll saw the final six players agree to an ICM deal. Topping that list were Andrew Pollack (1st – $3,434), Richard Epstein (2nd – $3,157), and Alan Tran (3rd – $3,092).
Stephen Dees (4th – $3,070), Majid Samimi-Naraghi (5th – $2,774), and Joseph Williams (6th – $1,501) rounded out the top six.
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 16)
Monday’s $2K Bounty tournament drew 79 runners, and the event ended in an even three-way chop.
Michael Eldridge, Bryan Thym, and Brandon Hulsey each took home $902 in the deal.
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (Jan. 16)
The Lodge’s Monday afternoon five-card Omaha event ended in a five-way ICM deal. The winners included James Sombathy (1st – $1,269), Cody Culp (2nd – $1,112), Michael Sawchuk (3rd – $1,109), Michael Davis (4th – $934) and Katherine Mersiovsky (5th – $911).
The tournament drew 90 entries and awarded a $6,570 prize pool.
Wednesday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 18)
Bill Leon (pictured below) and Patrick Powers topped topped the field in the Wednesday bounty, with each taking home $827 in a heads-up chop.
The tournament paid five places total.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (Jan. 18)
James Sombathy won the Wednesday PLO Freeroll for an incredible 11th time, winning $2,909 in the process. Monica Grace finished second for $1,800.
The event drew 53 entries and a $7,760 prize pool.
Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH (Jan. 19)
Thursday’s $1K No-Limit Hold’em event ended in a five-way ICM deal.
Winner’s from the chop included Ronald Kim (1st – $824), Kiran Desai (2nd – $563), Paul Payton (3rd – $505), Jean Marsh (4th – $475) and Cookie Baumel (5th – $471).
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (Jan. 19)
The Thursday Dirty Thirty Freeroll nearly doubles the guarantee. A total of 102 players came out, with the prize money ending up at $13,830.
The tournament ended in a four-way chop, with winners including Daniel Marin (1st – $2,997), Thomas Penza (2nd – $2,698), John Lee (3rd – $2,399) and Amber Daniel (4th – $1,754).
Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (Jan. 20)
The Friday Night Freezeout ended in a five-way ICM deal.
The list of winners included Rudresh Ghosh (1st – $1,780), James Thompson (2nd – $1,729), Juan Vela (3rd – $1,407), Michael Warren (4th – $1,349) and Andrew Sjolund (5th – $1,306).
Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty (Jan. 21)
Saturday’s $4K Guaranteed Bounty saw 72 players register, and ended in a four-way ICM deal.
The big winners from the tournament included Wesad Al (1st – $1,568), Brenda Hamill (2nd – $1,457), Amit Mankhand (3rd – $1,380), and Eric Chavez (4th – $991).
