The $1 Million Guaranteed Mega Monster rolled on at the Lodge Round Rock this week, with 17 more Day 1 flights playing out from August 5-11.
With the Mega Monster in full swing, the weekly tournament schedule at the Lodge was a bit abbreviated for the week.
Plenty of big winners still came away from tournaments in the non-Mega Monster category. Let’s take a look:
Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (August 6)
The Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll played to an eight-way ICM deal.
The top finishers included Ellis Griffin (1st – $3,105), Charles Moore (2nd – $2,847), Anthony Hester (3rd – $2,663), and Kenneth Glaser (4th – $2,584).
Rounding out the top eight were Matthew Buchanan (5th – $2,300), Aaron Clepper (6th – $1,800), R. Ramachandran (7th – $1,597) and Jeffrey Ray (8th – $1,303).
Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (August 5)
The Monday $2K Bounty event drew 50 players, and played to an outright winner.
Charles Wood (1st – $1,084) topped the field, followed by Steve Hwang (2nd – $638), and Joseph Thomas (3rd – $395).
Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (August 5)
The Monday Big-O drew 66 players, and ended with a heads-up even chop.
Daniel Martin and Christopher Bess each took home $1,394 per the terms of the deal. Roy Miller (3rd – $705) rounded out the top three.
Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Texas Freeroll (August 7)
The Wednesday Texas PLO Freeroll ended with a three-way ICM chop.
The final three included Zaragosa Barboso (1st – $2,951), Daniel Marin (2nd – $2,515), and D. Chattopadhyay (3rd – $1,807).
Thursday $7.5K Guaranteed “The Dirty Thirty Freeroll” (August 8)
The Thursday Dirty Thirty Texas Freeroll played to a six-way ICM deal.
The top finishers included Mahesh Rathi (1st – $2,463), Chad Oliver (2nd – $1,871), Daniel Marin (3rd – $1,853), and V. Pinnoju (4th – $1,804).
Rounding out the top six were William Davis (5th – $1,576) and Tung Tran (6th – $1,478).
Sunday $100 Buy-In Freezeout (August 11)
The Sunday Freezeout drew 48 players, and ended with an outright winner.
Kenneth Faires topped the field for the $1,451 first-place prize.
