Who Won At The Lodge from August 28-September 3?

With the Fall Mayhem Series just around the corner, tournament action at the Lodge saw big turnouts and big prize money across the board.

The Quarterly Big-O event returned for the third time this year, while the usual pair of weekly $15K Guaranteed events sent several players home with sizeable cash prizes.

Here’s a look at the week that was at the Lodge from August 28 through September 3:

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (August 29)

The Tuesday Texas Freeroll nearly doubled the guarantee. A total of 177 players brought the final prize money to $26,460.

The final five players agreed to an ICM deal. That list included Terry Morales (1st – $6,404), Sergey Dadonkin (2nd – $3,865), Filip Trajkovic (3rd – $3,746), Robert Rosser (4th – $2,855) and Tung Tran (5th – $2,503).

Tuesday $15K Guaranteed Freeroll (August 29)

$10K Guaranteed Quarterly Big-O (September 2)

The third of four Quarterly Big-O events for 2023 saw 81 players register, and the final four agree to an ICM deal.

Joshua McLeod (1st – $3,595) took home the tournament trophy and the biggest share of the prize money. 

Other top finishers included Philip Rhee (2nd – $3,411), John Mintz (3rd – $2,889) and Scott Sundheim (4th – $2,860).

$10K Guaranteed Quarterly Big-O (September 2)

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (September 3)

The Sunday $15k Deep Stack Re-Entry saw 98 entries compete for $24,500 in prize money.

The final two players remaining agreed to a heads-up chop. Stephen Hess (1st – $5,053) and Benjamin Riley (2nd – $4,854) topped the winner’s list.

Rounding out the top five were Mark Glendening (3rd – $2,670), Christopher Bess (4th – $1,936) and Elan Lepovic (5th – $1,427).

Sunday $15K Single Re-Entry Deep Stack (September 3)

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (August 28)

The Monday Big-O saw the final seven players agree to an even chop, with each of those competitors taking home $797.

That list included Jonathan Rodgers, Andrew Thomas, Robert Richards, Samantha Perryman, Andrew Robinson, Kenneth Rogers, and Kenneth Hoot.

Monday $3.5K Guaranteed Big-O (August 28)

Monday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (August 28)

Monday’s weekly $2K Guaranteed Bounty saw 62 players compete for $4,712 in prize pool plus bounties.

Charles Wood took down the outright win, bagging $1,072 in first-place prize money. Other top finishers included Derrick Diaz (2nd – $661) and Rita Snyder (3rd – $438).

Tuesday $1K Guaranteed NLH (August 29)

The Tuesday $1K Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em tournament drew 33 runners.

The top three finishers included Sean Kesler (1st – $737), Chris Taverrite (2nd – $502) and Kiran Desai (3rd – $394).

Wednesday $1K Guaranteed Freezeout (August 30)

The Wednesday Freezout saw 39 players compete for a $2,262 prize pool.

Anthony Whatley (1st – $900) and Howard Hammerbeck (2nd – $700) agreed to a heads-up deal to end the tournament.

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (August 30)

The $5K PLO Texas Freeroll drew 52 players, and finished with a $7,580 prize pool.

The event ended in a three-way ICM deal. That trio of winners included Robert Flores (1st – $2,190), Anthony Martino (2nd – $1,668) and Robert Landers (3rd – $1,440).

Wednesday $5K Guaranteed PLO Freeroll (August 30)

Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH (August 31)

The Thursday $1K Guaranteed NLH event saw 40 players compete for $2,320 in prize money.

The tournament ended in a heads-up deal, with Richard Walker (1st – $900) and Steven Ward (2nd – $743) finishing in the top two spots.

Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty (September 1)

The Friday $2K Guaranteed Bounty drew 45 players, and ended in a four-way ICM chop.

The top four included Ronald Sebastian (1st – $671), Ruth Rivera (2nd – $507), Alan McDonnell (3rd – $450) and Rahman Hasib (4th – $406).

Friday $4K Guaranteed Freezeout (September 1)

Friday’s weekly $4,000 Guaranteed Freezeout drew 102 entries, and ended in a three-way deal.

The top three included Stephen Sweny (1st – $2,042), Lang Anderson (2nd – $1,900) and Andrew Eis (3rd – $1,900).

Austin Ladies Event (September 2)

The September edition of the Austin Ladies event drew 30 players and paid out five places.

Ruth Hall took the outright win, going home with a payday of $1,122. Melinda Hipp finished runner-up for $660.

The Saturday $4K Guaranteed Bounty drew 66 players, and ended in a heads-up ICM deal.

The big winners included Lisa Graviel (1st – $1,835) and Steve Hwang (2nd – $1,549).

Sunday Big Bet Bounty NLH/PLO (September 3)

The weekly NLH/PLO Round of Each tournament saw the final two players agree to an even chop.

Lang Anderson and Selim Mahtab each took home $933 per the terms of the deal.
