We’re implementing a new food comp system starting on Saturday, February 15th.
Here are the key details:
- Members who play 6 hours of cash games within 24 hours get a $15 food voucher
- Your $15 voucher is valid until 11:59pm on the following day
- The 6 hours of play can be split between multiple sessions
- If you play 12 hours within 24 hours, you get two vouchers
- Expect faster food/drink service thanks to this simplified system
Previously, a member who played for 6 hours would receive $6 in comps.
Note: Any comps you’ve accrued under the original system will be valid until March 31st, 2025.
How Exactly Will This Work?
Let’s go step by step.
Suppose you come into Lodge Card Club Austin on Monday and get seated in a cash game at 2pm.
You play until 8:30pm (6.5 hours) and ask a manager to print your $15 food voucher. That voucher is now good until the end of the next day — Tuesday at 11:59pm.
You can use the voucher the same day you get it by ordering food and handing it to your server. Or, you can wait until the next day.
Splitting Up Sessions
Suppose that instead of playing from 2pm to 8:30pm on Monday, you play from 2pm to 5pm.
The next day (Tuesday), you come back and get seated in a cash game at 10am. If you play until at least 1pm, you’ll cross that 6 hour threshold and can receive a $15 voucher by talking to a manager.
That voucher would be valid until the next day (Wednesday) at 11:59pm.
Why the Change?
The original comp system has been causing increased wait times for food and drinks at the club, especially on busy days.
We want to reduce those wait times while still providing great value to our members.
The new voucher system will help us do just that.
